So I went to Extreme Thing tonight. It was insanely awesome. I didn't bring any friends but I was planning on meeting up with Koa there. When I found him he introduced me to his friend Alex and then we dismissed ourselves for a few minutes to go find Katrina (Suki, not Kibi) who was working at one of the booths. We found her, said hi, went back. Alex was gone. Koa freaked, called Alex, called his mom. His mom was pissed. He had to go. I was stranded for a period of time, but the... Koa returned! He got back in because the first time he came in they didn't rip the stub off his ticket which was REALLY lucky. Evidently Alex left because he had a migraine, a hurt leg, and was really bored. He was only there for 20 minutes. He ditched. His dad called Kekoa's mom and said that Koa had run off with a "shady bunch of guys to go do drugs and other shady things." I was like, "So evidently I'm a shady group of guys, huh?" He got that sorted out with his mom.
"I didn't go anywhere! I said I'd be right back because I was with Waffle. Then she was here all by herself."
"Oh, you were with Waffle? Okay. You need to stay there and protect her then."
"Protect her? xD"
Yeah. That's how it went.
We went and bought lemonade and Mountain Dew, then went off and met a shitload of Koa's friends. We mostly came across them while we were wandering between the Xpoz stage and the Roller Derby while we had nothing to do. We did a bit of shopping, socializing, flirting. As is our way. God, I think he was the first friend here I made in Vegas... He was, wasn't he.
Then we went to see Bless The Fall. We moshed. I fell, got tired. Somebody in the sunlight caught me as I fell. That I am grateful for. We moshed some more. Koa punched a kid in the face, I ripped on that kid and kneed him in the nose. It broke, bled everywhere. We moshed some more as I avoided blood.
Bless The Fall ended. We stayed for Suicide Silence. They sounded way better live.
Pull The Trigger, Bitch.
Oh, I really wanted that shirt.
After them, we went back to wandering for two hours. Did I forget to mention that Koa's shirt tore in half? Koa's shirt tore in half. He lost it. He walked around for 3 hours without a shirt on and got really burnt. We bought him a new shirt. He was sooo relieved.
I was texting Ann. I asked if she could call Rocky for me to see if he was there; nobody picked up. Three minutes later I saw him anyway.
Anywho, we ran into...
Robert Lockwood.
Lindsey.
Jessica.
Hosnap!
We lost them.
Then we went to watch Framing Hanley. We wanted to hear lollipop. Of course. We were laughing at the fact Lil Wayne is doing a show tonight, too.
And we tried to drag them with us to mosh with them, but we lost them. This was after The Higher and Big B with Scott Russo. Time for The Vandals. It was pretty fucking insane. I was more squished than I have ever been and I was on the verge of cracking my ribs. It really hurt. Meanwhile Koa was moshing a good 25 feet behind me and evidently he fell and hit his head as attempted to crowd-surf out of the mosh pit. He fell, bounced off his head, half unconscious. Curled over on his side. His chest got stepped on somewhere around seven times, got kicked in the head around 4 times, and got his legs stomped on around 8 times. We think he either sprained or broke his finger, it was huge and purple.
He successfully crowd-surfed to the front the second time and got shoved back by security even though he was trying to get over the barricade. Another thing I was grateful for. I got over to him after squeezing between a shitload of 30 year old, 6 foot tall, 300 lb, drunk men. The Vandals finished, we left. We really didn't want to hear Silverstein.
He actually didn't know who Silverstein was. He found out though, and when he heard them the hatred for them was mutual. We skipped them. Went and got a Strawberry Kiwi Naked smoothie for me and a Mountain Dew for Koa. The smoothie was really frozen so I had trouble drinking it and that inspired some pretty perverted comments from Kekoa.
I remembered I had wanted to bring Trevor but forgot. Guhh. Oh well.
Bad Religion. What was the irony that last year, same night, same time Bad Religion played on the same night as Extreme Thing and we went to see Bad Religion? Ohhhh.
Anyway, we had fun. I lost Koa right off the bat and his phone was turned off. :( So I moshed. Moshed. Moshed. Stood. Sang along. Went back to moshing. Looked for Koa. Moshed.
It was so awesome. There was a guy in the wheelchair moshing. Moshing. Seriously. And then he was crowd surfing in his wheelchair. That was fucking awesome.
The mosh pit grew. Koa had his friend get on all fours in the mosh pit, then he jumped off his back into the crowd to crowd-surf. Haha.
Show was over, we were thirsty, tired. Took Koa home, borrowed Sic Punk or something like that from him. I got home, finished my lollipop, took a shower.
Blogged.
