Such Great Heights

As a life blogger, I write about my life. Nothing in particular. I'm a teenager, here to talk about myself. Not inner-city happenings, parties, whatever the shit you can think of. It gives me some form of expression to write about what goes on here, though. I don't generally enjoy talking about myself, but I guess putting it somewhere gives me some form of release.
Such Great Heights. I don't need to put much to describe my mood if you know the song, but I've been feeling pretty good about life as of lately. Not much wrong, not much bad to dwell on.
Since I haven't written in like, a month, I have a bit to talk about. See how it goes? I haven't forgotten about this, I just haven't felt like updating it since I've been doing other things.
Well, to start I got a new laptop. I'm an admin again. Got my antivirus. My Zune Pass. Bryce. Photoshop Cs4. Adobe Lightroom. It's orgasmic, like seriously. I love being able to create something digitally again. Keeps the parents from PMSing over paint-stained carpet in a rental house.
New muses: Thomas, Grouper, the summer. Going some places this summer. Other than the summer school English 1 detour which I will go into later, I'm going Kansas City for our first stop. Going out to visit the family. I want to see my aunt soon, too. I've missed her. We're musical twins. :) But, yeah. Tori Amos is going to play at Starlight Theater in Kansas City while I'm there and I really want to go but I have no money. Second stop: Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Oh goody. :/ Mark has a fetish for aviation so we're going to... The biggest airshow in the country. At least I'll get some exercise. Third stop, visiting the grandparents on Mark's side. Betty lives somewhere in Iowa at the moment to the best of my knowledge. Apparently we're staying in a hotel by a water park, which is just GREAT considering how I just love swimming and the like. :/
Grouper. Absolutely fantastic. Has a very ethereal rainy vibe about it. Lots of rain, streetlights, orange corduroy couches, strip lights throughout a dimly lit one-story house, faded carpet, ink drawings hung on the wall... The living quarters of a reclusive college student in Washington weather. But all very musical... :)
And Thomas. This kid is fucking rad. Like seriously. One of the coolest people I've ever met, period. Hung out at his place today for a bit. He got a hair cut earlier and it looks good on him (well, really anything does) but I like his longer hair better. :) A couple of painfully bad movies at his house. CeeJay came over later. I didn't get to make cookies.
I think Repo! gets a little worse every time I see it and it was painful to start with. Watched Holy Grail instead after getting about 15 minutes in to Repo!... (Tell me why, oh why are my genetics such a bitch?) Was half-asleep for most of the day.
Fun stuff this upcoming week.
11th. Movies at my house. A few kids. A cake for Tyler.
12th. Parent's anniversary. I'd buy them something if I had money, but alas, I do not. I'll make them something instead.
13th. Billy Talent, Rancid, Rise Against. Moshing is the greatest. Apparently only if you're a girl though, which is total balls. Half the reason I go in them is to get the shit beaten out of me. :(
< / masochist. >
14th. Release of Billy Talent III.
15th. KC bound.
Ah-ha.
Oh. And somebody tell CeeJay that I blame him for getting me addicted to Polkadot Cadaver because I'm too lazy to tell him myself.
But yeah... What else? Oh. I'm a redhead. Again. Something I've familiarized myself with over the last 3 years. I just need to grow my hair back out. I miss it. :(
But back to this summer. Summer school was total balls. I didn't mind being at school as much as I did getting home from it. All the kids in class were terrible: throwing textbooks and screaming while we were reading, drug deals in the middle of class, whatever. About 8 or 9 of our kids were gone by the end of the session for various stuff. I don't really know how to describe how terrible the kids were. I mean yeah, it is public school... But this particular group of kids. D: The closest people to friends I met there were Sam, Daniel, and Heather. Sam, a girl I knew in 7th and 8th grade. Flunked English 1 honors twice, broke up with Kekoa twice for thinking we were dating behind her back, hardcore stoner with shitty taste in music. Heather, a lesbian stoner who gets into fights all the time and isn't exactly the brightest, but has a good idea of what is going on. Daniel, a complete dumbass who burned shit during class, constantly bragged about the drugs he was doing, but less shitty taste in music than Heather and Sam. I also taught the kid how to navigate public transit. Took the bus with him a few times. Oh, the bus. It was over 100° out almost every day so I camped out in some fast food joint up until there were 20 minutes until the bus. Some days were spent outside with no money, eating granola, talking to Daniel while he had a smoke. I'm glad that part is over. It took 2 hours between the end of school and the time I got home at the hottest part of the day. But hey, I got an A.
So that about wraps it up. If I think of anything else I'll add it here later.
